Is Alchemy's throughput (CU/s) limit shared across all apps, or set per chain?
Last updated: August 25, 2026
Alchemy's throughput limit, measured in Compute Units per Second (CU/s, sometimes called CUPS), is scoped to your account. It is shared across every app and every chain you use, not split out per chain, per network, or per app.
For example, if your plan includes 10,000 CU/s, that is a single combined allowance. Requests from all of your apps, across all networks, draw from the same pool. There is no default per-chain or per-app share of that limit.
Enterprise plans can have custom throughput overrides scoped to specific apps, networks, or methods, but this requires configuration with your account team. It is not the default behavior for standard plans.
If you need more combined throughput, reach out to sales about increasing your plan's throughput limit or setting up a custom Enterprise configuration.
